Back in 2007, Emil was awarded the title “Outstanding Player” at Musicians Institute in Hollywood for his graduating class. After graduating from MI, Emil continued to play concerts and study with many great musicians in the Los Angeles area.

A couple of years later, Emil won the “Young Talents” competition at “Uppsala International Guitar Festival”. Since then, he has recieved several scholarships and awards, including the “Guitar Peoples Prize” in Stockholm, and the “Hagström Guitar Scholarship” at the Royal Academy of Music. 

His musical inspirations ranges from Ted Greene, Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Joe Pass to Tina Dico, Joni Mitchell and Chet Baker. Emils guitar playing and soundtracks can be heard in numerous Swedish television programs and documentaries on both channel TV4 and SVT.

At the age of 37, Emil is already one of the most well known finger style guitarists on the planet. With over 165.000 followers on Instagram, 48.000 subscribers on YouTube, a fanbase on Facebook, three albums in his own name and an active schedule of around 100 concerts/year, Emil continues to spread his music and playing to music lovers everywhere.

Emil plays D’Angelico Guitars, Sanden Guitars, Maton Guitars, Waterloo Guitars, Udo Roesner Amps (Da Capo 75) and D’Addario strings.
